SAPol Operations is a specialised vehicle fleet fitment branch and is committed to providing a first-class service to the South Australian Police and wider Government Services industry.
The Position
We are currently seeking motoring enthusiasts to fit (or strip) a range of accessories and equipment in our client's cars and motorbikes. Ideally suited to someone who is either mechanically or electrically minded, or has ability fitting vehicle livery / wrap. These positions are based at our Netley workshop in South Australia. If you are willing and eager to learn, we have the means to provide training and support to enable your success!
What you will do:
- Vehicle fitment (or removal) of accessories and equipment
- Apply stickers and graphics to various vehicle panels
- Inspection and survey of vehicles for quality finish
- Safe manoeuvring of vehicles in and around the compound and workshop
- Ensure that good housekeeping practices are observed
- Ensure that vehicles are parked in compliance with customer needs
What you will bring:
- Must have a manual driver’s license
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Understand working of automotive parts and components
- Ability to lift/handle automotive parts (sports bars, bumper bars etc)
- Strong attention to detail & safety-first mindset
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A team player, open to change, with good communication skills
- Able to pass Police clearance
Nice to have:
- Experience in vehicle accessory fitments, beneficial but not mandatory
- Mechanical/ electrical aptitude an advantage but not mandatory
