Prixcar Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Transport team, based at the Willawong Branch. The core function of Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure that equipment within one’s jurisdiction is maintained in a timely manner and to the highest standards by providing efficient and professional support to the Transport team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement maintenance strategies to ensure safety and compliance of all equipment is met
- Manage service and repair workflow to minimise truck downtime and maximise efficiency
- Liaise and manage productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Must comply and adhere to State and National Legislation, ensuring vehicles are always roadworthy
- Raise / Complete and Log work & purchase orders by utilising PrixCar’s Asset Management Tool (Maximo)
- Liaise with internal and external clients / suppliers in a professional manner
- Support any afterhours equipment breakdowns, accidents / incidents and general maintenance
- Schedule equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, liaising with drivers on odometer entries
- Diagnose and address any E-Pod and other Telematics’ equipment issues, and coordinate repairs accordingly
- Monitor and report equipment / vehicle outages and, and ensure R&M is within budgetary expectations
- Coordinate and compile relevant maintenance and asset management reports and share as instructed
- Show genuine Commitment to safety
Experience we are looking for:
- Previous experience within a transport logistics environment/ fleet management
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics
- Understanding of driver coordination, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional written communication, negotiation, networking, skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond calmly under pressure
- Proficient MS office skills with a strong internal & external customer service focus
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise to competing deadlines
- The ability to develop effective working relationships within a team environment
- Provide support and near miss analysis, and have an attention to detail
- A strong commitment and focus on safety
Essential Qualifications and Licenses:
- Multi Combination (MC Endorsement) Licence, preferred but not essential
- TLIF0005 (Apply a fatigue risk management system), essential and can be attained later
- TLIF0006 (Administer a fatigue risk management system), essential and can be attained later
- Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Certificate, essential and can be attained later
