The Position:
We are hiring a Commercial Analyst for our Commercial Team to develop, enhance, and manage reporting suites for executive and cross-functional stakeholders. This role involves analyzing data to identify trends, improving operational and financial performance, and providing actionable insights to meet company targets.
What you will do:
- Develop, maintain, and automate accurate dashboards and reports for internal/external stakeholders to monitor business performance
- Analyse spends and commercial data to generate actionable insights
- Extract, manipulate, and analyse data to support ad-hoc queries and reporting requirements
- Conduct commercial analysis, price modelling, and cost analysis for new business tenders and existing operations
- Maintain, audit, and update customer/subcontractor rate cards and pricing elements in the operating system
- Develop rate calculators and support rate queries from Customer Service Teams
- Provide management support for ad-hoc queries, data requests, and report generation
- Evaluate and implement proprietary KPI methodologies to improve efficiency
- Analyse automotive industry trends to provide recommendations for future business decisions
- Perform system administration, including rate uploads, invoice reconciliation, and quote registration
- Run training workshops to educate stakeholders on new analytics products, solutions, and updates
- Align reporting across teams to improve consistency and visibility
What you will bring:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experienced at data extraction, data cleansing and data visualisation & communication
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and consistent reporting of data
- Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office products with a high level of expertise in the use of excel, access & SQL
- Experienced on the commercial side, and decidedly "hands-on" and not just theoretical
- Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Experience with data relating to customer management, business operational performance and improvement
- Self-organised with the ability to operate independently and deliver quality work
Nice to have:
- Exposure to SQL would be advantageous
- Exposure to Transport and Logistics industry is desirable
