The Position:
Due to recent growth, we currently have an opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on supporting and will serve as a critical member of our IT Infrastructure team and function as a technical resource for application management, security oversight, system monitoring and system patching. This role will work closely with our Service Desk team and requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
What you will do:
- Provide technical support for enterprise applications and systems
- Co-ordinate with the wider IT team as an escalation point
- Support the infrastructure team responding to incidents and or addressing vulnerabilities
- Support system patching and maintenance
- Assist with information security audits and compliance verification
- Assist and manage the documentation of various IT processes and systems
- When required, support the Service Desk team to ensure continuous availability of technical assistance to the organisation
What you will bring:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support with focus on applications and security preferable
- Demonstrated knowledge of system patching methodologies and best practices
- Knowledge of information security principles and compliance requirements
- Experience in technical documentation creation and maintenance
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with endpoint security, email security and system monitoring tools is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of how systems and applications communicate
- Adaptability to changing technological landscapes and business requirements
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently when required
