The Position:
As a result of recent growth we are seeking an experienced leader to assist in controlling and supervising production processes, whilst ensuring production objectives, targets and maximum efficiencies of production are achieved within budget & Customer KPI’s.
As the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Supervisor you will be responsible for the processing and profitability success of the local preservation team. Responsible for setting, amending (with consensus) and communicating all aspects of vehicle processing, in order to priorities customer satisfaction ensuring seamless operations. Proactive communication between teams will be essential to ensure production and customer satisfaction expectations are successful.
What you will do:
- Lead and actively contribute to the PDI departments ongoing improvements and processes
- Ensure adequate employee resources are allocated to meet workloads and targets
- Manage effective relationships between key operational areas
- Assist the Operations Manager to achieve profitability by meeting budget and KPI’s
- Implement efficiency improvements to processing work practices.
- Ensure there are clear plans available for the flow the PDI area on a daily basis detailing allocations and site requirements
- Resource management in line with processing forecasts
- Ensure the timely processing of vehicles and liaise with clients and client liaison officers to assure this
- Maintain the training record and skill matrix to ensure that current training is adequate
What you will bring:
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Sound knowledge of workshop procedures, processes, and efficiencies
- Strong communications skills – both written and verbal
- Well developed organisational skills
- A solid understanding of quality processes and standards
- A hands-on approach to leadership, with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Show initiative and flexibility in your approach to work
- Proven skills in multitasking, managing your own time and meeting tight deadlines
- Prior experience in the auto industry an advantage
- Mechanical / electrical qualification an advantage
