We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Operator to support the company IT capabilities. The position offers a broad scope of technology support in assisting customers experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services.
Key responsibilities:
- Resolve primarily Level 1 work orders; elevate complex and/or high priority problems to the appropriate support groups for resolution as necessary
- Provide support for core IT products and services
- Troubleshoot problems, instruct internal customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicate IT policies as required
- Determine the most effective manner to resolve customer's technical issue
- Support the preparation and distribution of PCs and other hardware to end users as required
- Engage in research and detailed troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
- Verify that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up
- Update tickets with appropriate journal entries of activities, and close tickets with resolution entered upon completion of the job
- Work on Helpdesk related projects as assigned by supervisor
Skills and expertise:
- IT support experience, demonstrating your technical expertise and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, showcasing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting
- Must be able to learn and support new and quickly changing technologies
- Ability to research solutions or information regarding technical issues
- Tthrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing positively to group dynamics
- Strong customer service skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
