We are seeking a passionate car enthusiast to join our team as a Trade Assistant – Automotive Electrician or Trainee. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves cars and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
Whether you already have workshop experience or are simply hands-on, mechanically minded, and eager to learn, we are happy to provide training and support for the right person. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with a variety of automotive electrical tasks while learning the ins and outs of modern vehicle systems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems
- Install automotive accessories (lighting, stereos, batteries, etc.)
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with guidance from senior technicians
- Safe manoeuvring of vehicles in and around the compound and workshop
- Perform required quality checks and be accountable for the workmanship of performed work
- Ensure that required records are completed accurately and submitted on time
- Inspection of vehicles
- Learn and develop skills within the automotive electrical trade
About you:
- Previous automotive or workshop experience is a bonus but not required
- Experience in servicing all makes and models ideal
- A good eye for detail and problem-solving skills highly sought after
- Genuine passion for cars and the automotive industry
- Willingness to learn and upskill in a supportive environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
- Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team
